My prediction is Senator Dodd is booted out of the Senate next year. Rob Simmons will defeat him. Dodd has lost independents in the state, I doubt they'll return. necn.com

Carly Fiorina messed up Compaq? Dumb (implied)? Not IMO. She was CEO of Hewlett-Packard and they acquired Compaq on her watch. She subsequently lost a political battle with her board of directors and some very powerful stockholders. There are a hell of a lot of highly competent executives in this country who have lost battles with their board. I think Carly was screwed over by her board and I hope she wins the Senate battle, if she chooses to enter it. I think she'd make an excellent, conservative, free-market Senator.
