You ask: Where was the regulatory agencies? Thats a great question, and you can thank barney fwank, dodd, obama, and clinton for not having any regulations... barney fwank, dodd, obama, and clinton received the biggest gifts from freddie and fannie and they ALL hid the systemic problem from everyone, they insisted that everything was just fine when the problem was already burning out of control... obama himself single handedly used political strong arm tactics to force banks to lend unqualified loans or risk losing their banking charter, this was chicago gangster strong arm tactics and criminal... these criminals created the problem in the first place and it should be investigated and prosecuted... So, ask obama and fwank why they hid the problem and told everyone that the banking system was fine when it wasn't... Moody's,S&P and the other rating outfits had no access to the inside gangster manipulations of the banking committee headed by barney fwank...
