yes i misunderstood. i thought you meant hiring a lawyer vs signing a power of attorney form.

i can relate to two decades ago when i was given about ten forms to sign "release of liabilities" to doctor , staff, (hospital i assume) about half hour before brain surgery. each of the forms covered every possibility of what could go wrong because of surgery.

I laughed, if an attorney were to review them. Surgery would be postponed for perhaps weeks, if ever, if left up to a lawyer, plus all the additional billing and getting nothing accomplished.
