yes John, they probably do. and why shouldn't they? the government gives them free taxpayer money indirectly with their idiotic incentives. the sweet part of the deal is that most people won't notice it and make the connection that it is THEIR money!! nobody gets pissed at mazda (and they shouldn't since mazda didn't ask for it). ah, the government does work in mysterious ways. AWESOME!

yep...i pointed this out the day the cash for clunker program was announced...the incentive goes directly to the dealer....he's supposed to pass that on to you via your 'trade in'....lol....good luck with that

even if it does spur some demand (incentive-ize 'fence sitters') all it will do is pull forward demand just like the zero interest loans did after 9-11....only not nearly so well due to the strings attached<g>
