You mistakenly took his age from the Wiki. He will be 60 in September. I know it's not PC to say 60 is elderly- but the man's not healthy, he already walks with a cane. I'm afraid I think people who are sick and over 55 are elderly. If people look spry and youthful I won't call them elderly- they are middle aged. The average age of death for a black man is less than for a white man. If you look at the mortality tables and find the middle of his life statistically, he's well past the middle: drmurielgillick.com If Gates makes it to 65 he can statistically expect 9.7 more years. Since he has hip problems, and thus is living with chronic inflammation, I don't expect he'll live that long. But even if he has 14.7 more years left- that makes him elderly as far as I'm concerned. He sure looks elderly. "Perhaps if one considers that a cop has a gun, a stressful job and could be unstable it would be very wise to not be difficult" I think it's better not to hire unstable guys and to make the stable ones adhere to a high standard of professional conduct, considering they DO have guns and all, rather than coddling them and letting them bully people in their own homes. But hey, that's me. I'm not really fond of police states, or situations that smell like a police state. And if you get any proof, let me know. Everything I've seen in the news is about kow towing officers apologizing after mistakes like this- of course those mistakes were made towards whites.
