I am amazed by Obama's plunging numbers. Here is what I think happened. His attack on the police caused him to be thought of by many in the same vein as Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson.

Regardless of what you feel about them, they are not main stream and they are unelectable. as national candidates. Obama was not viewed this way and thus acceptable to many, though not all whites. His mistake has caused him to be viewed in the same light and is causing, along with the Cap & Trade nonsense, the Health Care debacle and the failure of his stimulus him to plummet in the polls.
