Obama jumped the shark
Don Surber

Instead of pushing his poll numbers up, his prime time press conference on Wednesday pushed the president’s poll numbers down.

Oops.

Fox did the president a big favor by not airing his fourth prime time press conference special — his fifth hourlong grab of prime time in his first 6 months as president.

The ratings are in.

Not the number of people who watched. It was down again.

No, how well he fared. In polling after the press conference, his numbers are down among likely voters.

Scott Rasmussen: “The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sunday shows that 29% of the nation’s voters now Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty percent (40%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -11. That’s the first time his ratings have reached double digits in negative territory.”

We know what happened.

Lynn Sweet of the Chicago Tribune set up the ramp. President Obama slapped on those waterskis. Up and over he went. An artist’s depiction.

For more than 2 years now, we have had Candidate Obama running around talking about being post-racial. Some people called him the Tiger Woods of politics.

The hope was that we can get over race and rid America of its original sin.

This statement did not help:

Now, I don’t know, not having been there and not seeing all the facts, what role race played in that. But I think it’s fair to say, number one, any of us would be pretty angry; number two, that the Cambridge police acted stupidly in arresting somebody when there was already proof that they were in their own home; and, number three, what I think we know separate and apart from this incident is that there’s a long history in this country of African-Americans and Latinos being stopped by law enforcement disproportionately. That’s just a fact.

That doesn’t lessen the incredible progress that has been made. I am standing here as testimony to the progress that’s been made. And yet the fact of the matter is, is that, you know, this still haunts us. And even when there are honest misunderstandings, the fact that blacks and Hispanics are picked up more frequently and often time for no cause casts suspicion even when there is good cause. And that’s why I think the more that we’re working with local law enforcement to improve policing techniques so that we’re eliminating potential bias, the safer everybody is going to be.

It did the opposite. It brought back black victimology.

He’s no longer Candidate Obama. He is President Obama. Hope is gone. He is being judged by his Change. Most Americans are no longer impressed.

Obama thought people would once again excuse his racism. Now many are pissed with the huge destructive bills and his overt racism. Many feel they elected him to end the racist nonsense. Now there is a backlash because they see he wants to continue it.

He should have done some research before trying to toss Cambridge and Crowley under the bus. A white police Sergeant would have ordinarily been an easy target, but they picked the absolute wrong guy.

The health bill which in Senate and House both exempt the House, Senate, Administration and all Federal employees seems an obvious bad tasting pill that they don't want, but want to collar the rest of the country with it.
