As a family researcher for our family for 30 years I have been able to get copies of original birth certificates and marriage certificates for a fee as well as copies of wills and trusts.

E.G. England has an extensive system of providing photocopies of what is in their files. If the people are not living it is a part of the public record whether via the parishes, genealogy associations-----their public recording goes back to as I recall about 1841.

One of the largest data bases is courtesy of the Mormon Church. Do they have a record in their temple files of Obama?

Hawaii and especially Oahu is the home of one of the most beautiful Mormon Temples in existence on the North Shore of Oahu. The Mormons were early visitors to the Hawaiian Islands-----a rather simplicity statement but true.

I would be surprised if they did not have records of just about everyone ever born in Hawaii including Obama if he was born there. (Note, even though one is not Mormon----your name will often make its way into their genealogy files.)

Gosh, I would love to have heard the exchanges between Axelrod, Obama and other Democrats on how to deal with the question of his citizenship as early as 2006 and into the Primary of 2007 and 2008.

Certainly, they knew this was an issue in 2006 when he was doing the political thing of keeping everyone guessing whether he would run as he went home to Hawaii in December of 2006.

Certainly, they had a strategy for dealing with the questions of citizenship given the polygamist situation surrounding his birth.

Thanks for keeping the info flowing.
