Yes, it's had a great run as indicative of its RS, but if the EPS is low, is there a problem looming on the horizon? It may, but EPS is a trailing number based on released earnings. It may be that the company is having a big increase in earnings that aren't yet reflected. That's what keeps this from being automatic.

John--<is there a problem looming on the horizon.> It could mean that but I think that to reach 99 status there is either a very good story being circulated for some time, or great earnings are being anticipated. Peg is very interested in the EPS side of the equation and perhaps you can help her with that project. PPPPPPPPPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!! I have a possible volunteer!! Myron

John, yes you are a valuable resource. I now remember your message, and I am happy to report that you win and Jim Strauss loses (this one anyway). We give you credits for this great idea. I too agree that the EPS RS (which is really what IDB does, but doesn't call it that), is also a very good measurement of the future potential of the stock. A high EPS (and I beleive that is also based on the universe - but it may mean in that business category), it important. Lastly, but not leastly, I sure would appreciate any help you can give. My plate is pretty full, as you will notice that I still have not posted the above $30 stocks. The sad part about that is that I beleive those are the ones that have performed the best since last Friday. It takes a while to get these stocks profiled - expecially using the $100.00 purchase plan. However, I see the great value in this. Thanks. PS. It does my heart good to be able to write to Jim Strauss and tell him that he shuold not be using somebody else's good ideas. He should come up with his own. They call that plagiarism!!! LOL.
