I don't remember the river being quite that high, but it probably was. Last year's camp host told us the river gets really nice late Sept. and there are lots of rafters in Aug and early Sept. She suggested we come back then if we wanted to really enjoy it.

That looks like a great river to kayak on. Used to take my kids rafting, canoeing and kayaking - my favorite thing to do, after sailing, of course. :)
