People who act or react irrationally usually are the type of people who get results by acting that way. Such results reinforce the behavior and become automatic.

This seems to be the case when Henry Gates, an accomplished professor at Harvard, acts like a complete jerk to the officer who's just doing his job.

Everything. If you want to see racial reconciliation, the hate has to end and the forgiveness has to begin. In that incident, I only saw one hateful guy. Doesn't matter if his race has been wronged for generations. It's not right for an innocent police officer to take the punishment for the sins of his white forefathers.

I can only hope that Obama can make things right by inviting both men to the White House.
