Crazy weather, isn't it? Here in the Denver area we've not had a single day near 100. This week will be in the 70's and low 80's. We've also had considerably more rain than normal. Your NW area is unusually hot, I've noticed. I'm going to my old company's annual picnic today... threat of rain.

The long range forecast for my area shows heat in the high 90's through next week.
