Speaking of idiots, did they ever release the death toll from Ike? As I recall, the initial reports from around Galveston sounded like it was going to be bad, then there was a news blackout, and then I don't recall hearing anything more ... Anyway, I suppose idiots should be allowed to be idiots, as long as there's a clear understanding that there will be no rescue efforts, etc. As for the DWI thing, yeah I can see where it would violate the 5th if you still had a constitution. (Up here they treat a refusal the same as pleading guilty, with exactly the same penalties, so you're better off taking the test and hoping the machine's broken).
