Gib : Thanks ! Encouraging and evidence that the rest of the globe is not as bad as the few makes us all seem to be .

There may be more of these examples than we know of . In Canada about 10 years back the Governor General of British Columbia was a Chinese immigrant .

I don't think there will be piece on the planet until the Martians run things.

Alien Sex Fiend

The longest time of non conflict in England's history was when they did not have a king. 30 years. The Irish, who stayed drunk for most of their history, were incapable of establushming an orgamished shyshtem of govermint mint mint, therefore had the perception of peace and quiet for millenia. Except for the fighting. The secret of peace is Dewars Whishkey. De-wars. Worksh worksh worksh fine for me. You can't drink and fight at exactly the same time. Hence the name. Whiskey.

I suppose since this is my 2700 off topic post I should make a condescension towards talking about my favourite other topic. Mining stock. Let me see. What would make a good investment today. hmmm... well, I got a tip about some gold in timmins, with West Timmins. at the juncture of 144 and highway 101. allegedly. But I am pretty sure it is old hatte. No mine yet. Hold on the buy button until your broker comes out of analysis. On the other hand I heard some bad news. Bear Lake has noticed that some of their assays are a bit askew. High in sodium. Tsk tsk. Currently under review. They don't know how many are bad and how that happened. tsk tsk tsk tsk darn, shoot. Let's hope it isn't all bad.

I just heard about a new company. Evolving Gold. I ran into their people at the PDAC a while back. Lemme see. That must have been last year, not it was march, so that is still this year. I commented that they had a good name. What struck me were the high spirits of the geo team. They have some good intersects in some place down in the states. Rattlesnake gulch. We been thair befoah, but we is theah agin. Now it high grade. I guess everybody on the thread is all over it so sorry if I scared you into thinking there was something new going on. Who the hell knows. There is still gold in them thair hills.

I wonder when man will stop mining gold. hmmm.. have to think about that. Why do we mine gold? We can't eat it. It is the metal of Kings and bankers. Poor men work in gold mines. Rich men own gold mines. Primarily it seems to tie up their money for decades so Kings can steal their money with IOU's. But that is another story. Really we mine gold in order to turn the kingdom into a desert. Then we will turn it over to the men from Mars as they like sandy places. Eventually all the water will dry up in the Canals and people in other planets will look at where the earth was green and blue in powerful telescopes, marvel at its waster grandeur, and scare their children with tales of men from earth who will land and blast them with death rays. Only crazy aliens bent on using Venusians for sex and food would do that. But who can figure alien races. They are all crazy.

Martian Doodlebug Terrorizing Local Fauna with Typical Savagery and Bloodlust. This is probably why the Martian Dodo became extinct.

Do you know who discovered Mars? I will bet you think it was Copernicus, or Galileo or Kepler. It was Aristarchus of Samos. I don't know what he thought a planet was, but I guess if he figured it about as dubious as where he stood, that would suffice.

You ['you' being King Gelon] are aware the 'universe' is the name given by most astronomers to the sphere the center of which is the center of the Earth, while its radius is equal to the straight line between the center of the Sun and the center of the Earth. This is the common account as you have heard from astronomers. But Aristarchus has brought out a book consisting of certain hypotheses, wherein it appears, as a consequence of the assumptions made, that the universe is many times greater than the 'universe' just mentioned. His hypotheses are that the fixed stars and the Sun remain unmoved, that the Earth revolves about the Sun on the circumference of a circle, the Sun lying in the middle of the orbit, and that the sphere of the fixed stars, situated about the same center as the Sun, is so great that the circle in which he supposes the Earth to revolve bears such a proportion to the distance of the fixed stars as the center of the sphere bears to its surface.

Aristarchus thought that the stars were very far away from the fact that there was no parallax or change of angle of the stars one to the other as the year's orbit progressed.

Silly boy. Anyone knows you can reach out and touch the stars.

CDN's always elect a prime ministair from a minority.

Generally they have IQ's in the three digit category, and in Canada that's a minority.

'Sides white anglo saxon protestants who have a collich ejucation, own a car, are not alcoholic, speak without an accent, were born north of the 49 parallel, are still married, don't own a rifle and go to crutch, are a vanishing breed.
