Obama needs to realize that he will not get everybody on his side. He needs to be more assertive. He is no longer a Black kid running around to get the approval of his mother's community. He is now the President and he needs to assert himself. He has acted brilliantly on some past issues such as inducting Hillary into his cabinet, leading the hostage rescue efforts in Somalia, getting the stimulus bill passed etc. I still maintain that he should not have taken up the issue of healthcare until he had achieved success on the economy and the stimulus package. His biggest failing so far has been his inability to show any results on flushing out and shunting the lobbyists from DC. It is an uphill task no doubt, but his "No drama Obama" approach is hurting him since that is preventing him to take the case to the people. His media appearances, I think is not geared to to do that.
