<Lucent Exec Says Semiconductor Industry Must Adapt to Evolving
Markets and Technologies>

A smart, well-positioned company (I picked some up yesterday).

I wonder how long before we have ADSL on their 16000 family of DSPs?

I had heard rumor of this, and now it is out - a Rockwell chip (how do you like "CDSL" as an attempt to sway the "C"onsumer market?) Must have just hit CMP, as it came up just now, but not earlier, in a search I was doing on intelligent telco switches:

techweb.com

So now we have MOT, ALA/Mietec, MOT, TXN and Rockwell as DMT chipmakers (at least I have HEARD that they are or will be making their own ADSL-DMT silicon, if not on THIS chip). And PAIR won't be far behind with THEIR DMT chipset.
