There are a bunch of Dems ("Blue Dogs") who are fiscally conservative who also want to see the numbers work before they get on Board.

Today is not analogous to the time of FDR when there were NO social programs at all. We have a social welfare net in place today.

If it is so desirable and if insurance companies are so despicable, why is it that Congress wants to exempt itself and keep their plans which rely on private insurance?
