The other cops were there for a part of the encounter. Lashley was standing outside and said he heard Gates ranting and making accusations inside the house. Figueroa went inside the house with Crowley.

Their backing of Crowley speaks volumes. I wonder if liberals will begin bashing them too.

Gates didn't just act "in a manner I don't like", he acted in an objectively wrong manner.

And btw liberals defending this example are doing a disservice to people who might get the idea its okay to shout in policemen's face, insult them, and refuse their demands for identification. That hurts society and it will get people locked up unnecessarily who adopt the manner liberals are defending.

There is no lie on Crowley's report. You're bending over backward to interpret a difference in two accounts as a lie.

The defense of Gates is just like the defense of Jeremiah Wright.
