People who do not believe in evolution are saying the world is flat.

You are presuming evolution is a more questionable fact than the world being round. It is not.

So it is natural for any professor to notice the evangelical Christian who does not believe in evolution needs some serious education.

I don't know why things need to be exaggerated before people believe them. Adaptation is observable and replicable in a lab and this is all the science of evolution claims. It doesn't make any claims about existence before the great expansion of the universe or cause. The universe is large, wonderful, observable, and full of mystery. Every educated religious person I know accepts science and much of science was established by people practicing religious discipline to learn as much as they could about creation. Even in modern times there are quite a few that are smart enough to see through any apparent contradiction posed by the extremists. There are extreme religionists who deny scientific observation but there are also extreme lab cloak clerics who deny the truth of some basic scriptural teachings. We cam validate for our selves the scripture about living a life based on simple tried and true principles and according to one's conscience for example. Simple paradox, ironies, illusion, chaos, and mystery are basic truths of science and religion, humblingly apparent, so none of us should be claiming to have all the pat facts secured under one cap.

Bush KNEW the world was flat
until he actually traveled...
something he didn't do before become President...
a very sad commentary on his experience, something we are ALL paying for and will continue to pay for
