So now I know the presumption upon which you asked your question and you know my answer, which wasn't really your question it was turning the question back on me. In any event I've answered it and noted that my opinion is irrelevant to this strand of discussion.

You've not answered the question your self and you've stopped supporting your declarations about ending quick and leaving. You partially answered that you'd want conditions similar to Iraq, in which the Afghans are prepared to maintain stability.

Which is why I asked if a return to Taliban rule would be satisfactory to you, a condition that would satisfy your operational goals and which is a likely outcome of quick exit. I also asked if you would have positive expectations for foreign relations. I declared what I would consider negative foreign relations going forward (them targeting the USA for strikes). What would your positive expectations be?
