Now lightly short, if we don't recover into the close, this could be it... I'll have a large sell signal next Tuesday or Wednesday if we don't rally out of here...<g>

Being a veteran of irrational exuberance I can’t help but take a moment and step back and take a look at the big picture. Many of the old SI members have seen first hand the extremes of the equities markets since the mid 90’s and have with that experience accumulated an incredible amount of knowledge and insight.

It seems to me we are now witnessing, in real time, the very dismantling of everything this great country ever stood for. The evidence is a forgone conclusion and there is no rational way to think otherwise at least in my view.

With that said everyone is wondering where all the trillions of dollars on the sidelines will go. Since the opportunities that come available to those who have capital have expired I think that money will simply pile into the equities markets regardless of the economy or fundamentals. I believe we are setting up for another “irrational exuberance” run here as we are already getting indications of this now as it is clear the country is not in recovery mode but a continued decline. The bad has simply slowed down.

With CD’s maturing in the next few months there is no place to put money that I can see. Maybe selected real estate far from highly populated areas with close proximity to water along with guns and ammo. Stockpiled in guarded warehouses for the emerging black market.

Any clearly thought out response appreciated.
