Gottfried, the under $1,000 computer especially the under $500 should be a Best seller this Christmas. Cheaper Tech goods from the Far East should help also for a more cheerful Christmas... Alan Greenspan, at present testifying in congress, admitted that the recent downturn of the market will help dampen too much business activity that leads to the rise of inflation. Because the stock market is much lower now, Investors who felt "rich" before feel "not rich anymore" or "poor" now ---so as NOT to exuberantly spend...That's one way of teaching a person to be Thrifty:---make him poor first...
