Yes, avoid USA airlines [they didn't even have the sense to keep cockpit doors SHUT and locked]. NEVER fly Lufthansa. Ryanair is great - efficiency, good flying, and price being the great points. Qantas has always been really good and as a bonus has never killed a passenger - that might be unique [I'm pretty sure that's true].
