My sister tells my mother she would like to die rather than experience the pain she is going through. My sister tells this to my mother several times a week. If you are experiencing pain that makes you want to die, do you kill yourself or do you keep on going with pain that makes you cry in agony every moment of the day? I used to be obsessed with me. My sister's pain has freaked me out. Watching her cry, moan and suffer makes me sick to my stomach and gives me head aches. How does this relate to philosophy? Our lives are totally meaningless if they are spent in unbearable pain. Watching my sister suffer makes me wonder if death is not the best thing for her. I feel helpless...
