<<1. Contrary to what RW said this morning, the US health care system is NOT the "worst case scenario" or even close to it. Of course, sensible people conclude US health care must be pretty good or you would not have these Canadians and others coming here after their own system failed them.>>

Yup, monied Canucks appear in America for fast service and you love our cash and we obviously go to the front of the line.

Poll the uninsured in America, and those with brain tumors, and denied stamp on correspondence with for profit insurance company,...head man gettting 30 million a year.... and see what they think.
Sensible Americans would think they should be ahead of the foreigners.

<<< The US health care system does cost more but probably because it is so damned much better than all the others.>>

Yup, it is good for a family of four, but they have to come up with 14 Grand a year to get it...now how does the average family of four do that on 50 grand a year.I know, they don't, but gamble that they will be well, if not, appear in emergency room for the best care in the world for brain tumor removal... yeh right

<<3. Finally, the video makes the point I've been making for a while -- the rest of the world OUGHT to be very concerned about the prospects of changes to the American health care system. Because if we move to socialized medicine, not only does it adversely impact us here in the US, health care all around the globe will suffer.>>

The rest of the world is contributing to medical research , not only America. If you moved to socialized medicine, there would be wait times, as all would be covered...that is your concern.

Americans should quit looking at the Canadian medical system for ideas to prop up selling universal healthcare in the U.S.

Canadian medicine is subsidized in huge part by the U.S. pharmaceutical industry which we ripoff to make generic drugs. The taxes from the sale of those drugs that we sell back to you and to users here help pay for Canadian universal healthcare.

All our diagnostic equipment is bought from the U.S. some it second hand Almost all our domestic trained doctors and nurses leave for the U.S. soon after graduation and the greater part of our practicing doctors come from India and South Africa.

As soon as you adopt our system both systems will collapse.
