From article on Bernanke; Simply put, how can Washington even consider keeping Mr. Bernanke as Fed Chairman when the US banking system effectively failed on his watch? Oh good gosh, like the banking crises came up over night? The one who should be held responsible is the man in charge when all the crap was created that eventually led to the economic crises - Greenspan. What Bernanke did was prevent an implosion of banks. It is way too early to give Bernanke credit, but to blame him for the Greenspan debacle is unfair. steve
