Does the racism trump the protected status?

If it does, the unintended consequences will kick in, and we'll be in danger of evolving into a society quite different from what America always was. We all have the right to be wrong and bad, as long as we do not break the law. However - I'm not a lawyer, but I'd imagine that organizations like the police may have their own, stricter sets of rules. Racists should have protections under the law, like everyone else, but we don't want armed racist cops roaming the streets.
