The whacky loons live in Hollywood and San Francisco. The little town I live in is very provincial. It's referred to as Mayberry - even the tavern is called Mayberry.

We have 2 grammar schools, 1 middle school and 1 high school. Everyone in town knows everyone else. I've said this before: there are more churches and parks per capita than any other town in California - maybe even the nation. We also have more cops per capita than any other town in California.

We have a huge tax base because of all the businesses/industries located on the east side of town. Lots of major companies here: Chevron, Boeing, Raytheon, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, SpaceX and The Aerospace Corporation, Los Angeles Air Force Base and the Space and Missile Systems Center, Mattel, DirecTV, Computer Sciences Corporation, International Rectifier.
