Reginald,

Web browsers are history. I just installed the Active Desktop
on my Windows 95 systems and it can go to Web sites just like
a Web browser. Now I don't have to wait anymore for a
browser to start up. The Web is just always there. I now
plan to delete both Netscape and IE4 from my computer.

The DOJ might be able to keep Microsoft from bundling IE4
with Windows 95 according to the consent decree. However,
the Active Desktop is a different story. It just looks like a
few tweaks on the original Windows 95 shell.

Richard

PS. I do hope that Microsoft fixes the many "fit and finish"
bugs in IE4, err I mean Active Desktop before it gets more
widespread distribution as preloads next year. Just writing
this reply to you, for example, I got a screen repaint bug of
the cursor. Sigh.
