>What your take on the AIG history of events?

The government, unfortunately but necessarily, bailed AIG out, but had no plan for dismantling it after the bailout nor how to keep that money going to the right places. AIG ended up using a lot of that money to enrich Goldman Sachs and to give out millions in bonuses to people who helped destroy the banking system. The Dems were pissed off, but really had no idea what to do other than display righteous indignation, and the cycle of the banking/insurance industry controlling a significant amount of the government continues.
