welcome back seeker, i see the log-in issue has been satisfactorily resolved

on voting, i heart-felt believe it is best to adopt the hk model, having the chief designated by outsiders who wish to maintain localized order and tranquility, after powwowing with the local worthies on selection, and select the more worthy of the worthies

saves the local 'would be' electorates the senseless bother, useless expenses, and best of all, they can skip the lies

should the such selected chief fail to deliver on satisfaction to the ruled, he is then simply and quickly thrown out without ceremony

with regard to greece, now that you have reminded me, yes, i do see the similarities, and can now better appreciate what cb ilaine was mouthing off about regarding salad-making traditions and such :0)

in a sentence, one person one vote is a bad bad idea, wasteful too, even as one man with the single vote can lead to fat tail outcomes, good or bad

earth would do well if simply assigned a leader by the almighty.

coincidentally, emperors generally claim such endorsement :0)

" Like the US South, prior to 1863, only slave owners
could vote. "

It is absurd to say that only slave owners could vote in the South prior to 1863.Please quote your source.
