Your numbers are probably close to right....but it is a democracy in a republic...or at least we were set up that way. Honestly, I wonder what our founding fathers would think if they saw where we are today...? Would they wonder if their efforts were worth their trouble?

When it first came out, I sent it to everyone in my personal friends address book, One of my liberal friends and I talked about it and she preferred and thought a democracy was more suited to our (really her) nation and said she would change the Constitution in order to achieve that if need be. I argued against a Democracy and pointed out that it creates mob rule. Didn't matter...........she was more interested in the law of Majority Rule. Which I think perfectly fits the Liberal/Progressive world view. So........yes.......to liberals our nation should be a Democracy and that is dangerous and not very well thought out or inclusive imo. It is time once again to view this video. H/T Mullholland wimp.com
