If we started to trade with them now, they wouldn't be communist in 20 years or less. At worst, they might be capitalistic communists, like the Chinese. It would be boom times in Florida, gateway to Cuba.

Since every other country trades with them, why hasn't that exposure done away with communism?

If our opening up to Cuba did do away with communism there, would liberals still speak up for Cuba so much?
