You're honest about your convictions, and I respect that, even though yes, we see things differently.

I used to think for years that a single payer system would make my life in practice easier -- better to deal with one set of bosses than with dozens, each with their books of stupid rules, lists of "approved" specialists and medications, and so forth. I have little respect and liking for "traditional" insurers.

Otoh, I know that those who are afraid of getting "post office healthcare" do have valid concerns. Moreover, as a citizen, I believe that the government would become hugely, obscenely big and intrusive. I think the same way I thought 20 and 30 years ago - I'd vote against it.

Yes, but you have yet to articulate a cogent rationale for it. How it would help the current situation.

We know it won't save money. So, why do you want it?
