I'm thinking doctors probably participate in some forms of continuing education, read journals in their field, attend conferences where new ideas are presented, get sold new technologies and treatments from industry reps, etc.

I doubt they just act like bumps on a log, mindlessly doing what they were taught in med school till someone from the government shows them a better way.

But hey, thats jmo.
