CarNation announced today their new car sales have jumped by 36% as a direct result of the "cash for clonkers" program... how simple was that to stimulate the economy, at least as far as new car sales? Now, if we had cash for new home buyers, and so on, then it would be a microscopic fraction of the cost, just a few billion vs. several trillion... this goes to show how stupid our politicians really are, when the money can go to the people directly for real stimulation and not the pork barrel ribbon cutting projects these idiot politicians want... these clowns were in such a hurry to fund their idiotic pet projects without any regard to the real issue of stimulating the economy that they signed it without reading it... how stupid and desperate is that? GZ
