Take for example, building roads. Most of the time only government can do it. But does it do it "well"? No. A job that should take a month takes a year or two years.

And you know that because you've acquired land through eminent domain, paid business that are effected, hired engineers, done environmental studies, gone to court countless times, put the work up for bid, held public meetings, worked with funding, hired contractors, worked with public information and traffic control, done studies to eliminate flood potential, done studies to see if the road is needed, dealt with countless citizen complaints, etc etc, to build your own private road?

I thought you sold software?

Government really doesn't do much "well"

What comes out every time you turn on a faucet... 100% of the time. Water! I bet you don't think Jeez those government guys are good.
