1) The government is NEVER going to be offering 'gold-plated' plans costing $50,000 a year per participant (like Goldman does right now).

2) Nothing is free. Even the government plan (if there is one) will have premiums.


I suspect that if the market is limited to just $50,000 plans,then most if not all health insurance companies will simply abandon the market. Maybe only one or two companies will do these executive plans. The rest will concentrate on their life, property, and automotive insurance instead. I also suspect the largest companies will be suing the government at every turn to try to get the health insurance market back.
