I don't think most northeners see FLA as southern. I know I don't.....except for the panhandle. There are a lot of pretty southern areas within FL... and a lot of true southerners everywhere. But it sort of a microcosm... it's why a lot of retailers (especially restaurants) test market in Florida. Sort of like Peoria... if it sells in Florida, it will sell everywhere. Yes, but I know when I've crossed the border from GA and SC into FLA. The difference is close to night and day.
