methane gas generated from the decomposition of vegetation washed into man made hydro electric reservoirs are responsible for 1/3 of annual, global green house gas emissions. Coal fired power plants generate far less green house gases per unit of energy produced than hydro power.

Hey.. I was just discussing the merits of wind over hydro related to reliability and redundancy..

Don't need to get into a "fartin'" contest over Hydro.. ;0)

But I will say this.. When something grows, it eventually rots. So somewhere in there is a cyclical relationship.
