This is nonsense. Dealers have mechanics who inspect cars before they make their ultra-lowball offer. IIRC, you've made the "buyers are liars" argument before in this forum, only I think it was that buyers lie to get loans.

I think you've been listening to too many dealers tell too many lies for too long. But, being the good salesmen that they are, they've convinced you that it's OK to be dishonest (at least when you're losing money) because their customers are liars and everyone else is in business is.
