RW, all these feel-good wealth redistribution schemes will never work. Like you said, there will always be winners and losers. The only problem is that you think you can control who wins and who loses. Doesn't matter if it works or not as long as you have "good intentions." It's wiser to define what government can and cannot do in people's lives, then let people make their own fates. The more you can allow people to do that, the better off we will be as a society.
