History is written by the side that won. Why there is no other side of history?

1) Germans wanted to forget the past quickly.

2) Nuremberg tribunal make sure there were no major player to talk. Even Hess was never released.

Now for the Germans:
The ones who were taken prisioners on the Brit side, talk nicely about the Americans.
The ones taken by the Americans, talk nicely about the Brits.

I was going to Freiburg with a Friend of mine and offered a chewing gum. He said he had never ever chewed gum.
Want to know why? I said yes.

He told me his father was a PoW. They had to build, their own prisoners' camps before the winter started. They had little to eat and were monitored by the Americans who were always chewing gum.

He said the hunger and seeing every people around him chewing all the time, left a big impression on him. He never ever allowed his kids chew gum.

Once I went to visit Heidelberg, I met a nice old fellow father of a friedn of mine. He cold not menton the name of the Brits without saying: "God strife the English"

For him the Americans were the best. The Brits were savages.
But I said to him daylight bombing that ravaged the Germans cities was American. No. Not for him. For him thhat was British.

Concentration camps? It was a British invention used for the first time in the Boer War.
