I understand your point G but if the system cracks, i.e. bankruptcy, they are going to be a whole lot worse off than taking a shave now. It is unfortunate that 75% of the union do not see the big picture.

MORE horse manure....

how can anyone be worse off than....

1.- no manufacturing to speak of (as most of it has left the country)
2.- even the 'service industry'... (or FIRE = Finance, Insurance & Real Estate) is.. er... BURNT -lol
3.- zombie banks -look we are solvent, daddy gov. gave us money... but we cannot lend it out because if we do (and use real accounting) we are..... insolvent ! [some BRILLIANT economist with nobel prize hopes must be patting his own back saying... good job !]
4.- 10% unemployment (more like 16%) and with NO HOPE of getting those jobs back (see # 1, # 2, & # 3, if not believable)
5.- we keep printing $$ and uber-spending same, and the only growth segment of the economy is the government...

hmmmm i wonder what good old fashioned laissez faire capitalism with a healthy dose of EARLY BANKRUPTCIES would have produced... maybe OPPORTUNITY and yes... a FEW would have benefited... but the green envy of the communists cannot let that happen can they?

ya sura sven, ve are betta off.... (NOT)

we are becoming a new kind of country... the third kind with a fascist legislative and court system....

THE WORST OF BOTH WORLDS

We had a pendulum , in the unions hey day of excess , the 70s, the pendulum swung to an extremis point in its favor, we then have had a backlash swing that has gone extremis against union.

i perversely choose Ayn Rand to support why Califrnia Employees need NOW be selfish.
Randism got absorbed by those mainly 100% pro bosses and anti-worker.

It took on the view unions were not individualism, thus the evil, but the result was, the individual found itself powerless before the Big Business that was Rand's(a supposed atheist) totem for "The Sacred", it was indeed her creating a RELIGION with its own set of dogmas(i contend all thought that becomes dogmatic becomes BS).
We have seen Unions being tarred and smeared as the Bankers/Brokerages get away with robbing this country as it never has been robbed before.
So now , let's blame it on the unions, for daring to say we are not going to sacrifice ourselves, and realizing the reality, that the non-PowerFUL individual is NOTHING anymore without forming a power group of itself, or, instead, being EATEN.

i have no time for idealogy beyond i believe the best we can hope is that we do good for the most possible amount of people.

Our,as it evolved, system has FAILED, the means now being used to prop up this lie will only lead to revolution or totalitarianism blatant, as opposed to the present "cloaked" totalitarianism.

The fear of disruptions will at all times favor the power dogs, as such, there will never be a solution without disruption.

A California Employees strike will be called, by most Randist, as SELFISH, when they should recognize this is No time to be selfish. Which is ,of course, opposed to Randism, but then Randism only applies to the the individual BOSSES, who themselves have formed a UNION of power their power.Confusing?

i admit this IS WRITTEN intentionally to CONFUSE as i get tired of "we have the answer" groupism.

Bottomline Max is working perversely back to his cynical appraisal, that there is no solution.

We CRATERED in 2007/2008 in a long lastingly destructive way.

And maybe this will end up either as a disruptive revolution or full scale a full blown totalitarian state, history is its own BEAST.

We have come toTRUTH or CONSEQUENCES,and as the powers have an acute allergy to TRUTH, this country will have ahead years of consequences.
Jim Rogers stated VIGOROUSY in September or so 2008, let all the brokerages and banks guilty to GO UNDER---let's FLUSH the system of the criminal riff-raff, the U.S.A,, can, of itself START OVER, from scratch, and be , in a period of time more vital than ever. This was, in fact,Jim Rogers' position.
Marc Faber held the same view.

But NO,out of the fear fear fear machine of "If we DON'T Save the crooks" it is the end of the world---and this was Hank Paulson's mantra, with Bush and Obama saying "Amen, Amen!!" to Paulson's every word.

So TRUTH was crushed, i thus welcome the U.S. to the Consequences, they will a lot longer and drawn out, than if people had demanded what Rogers and Faber said was the painful way, but th HEALING WAY. Max, over and out:)
