I've been on juries where lawyers were suing over accidents claiming health issues. It seemed clear the health claims were trumped up. In the two cases I observed I didn't believe the folks claiming damages had any health problems.

I've also known a bunch of folks claim health problems falsely hoping to get long term disability.

There seem to be a lot more bogus lawsuits than legit claims. Some companies settle. Some fight them knowing they'll have a big loss if they lose. The lawyers have an incentive to sue. The cost is mostly their time and their staff cost. If they win a big case, whooey, they can make hundreds of thousands on a suit. File lots of suits, hope one wins and they get that big payday.

BTW this is it for tonight for me. Good night all.
