Brian -

I have tried that approach before...there is no corralation whatsoever. Only leads to foolish decisions. Justify any future buys based on facts, expectations of future earnings, not on street sentiment.

If you have the patience and the spare cash for AMD's wild ride of uncertainty, all the power to you. Myself, I have maintained that patience and do not view AMD as a rewarding long term investment, thus as a short term play/investment, and short term in my view with too much downside risk. I felt this way at $35 and bailed out half position, now I feel this way in a much stronger way.

I will probably buy into AMD in the future, as a short term investment with short term dollars, because of my knowledge and investment experience and interest with the companies financials.
