I don't know of many people on the left who believed Saddam had WMDs. I think your recollection is faulty.

Also a significant number of dems voted for the war and the wag was they did not really support the war, they just did not have the courage to vote against it because at the time it was so popular.

Very true......the Dems fukked up. However, the war was not that popular......polls were running against the war right up until C. Powell spoke in front of the UN in Feb. 2003. His word was much more trusted than Bush/Cheney's and when he made a case for Saddam having WMDs, the nation fell into line. For that reason, I will never trust Powell again........what he told the UN was a lie.

But I can say that the Dems are not alone in their sleaze. It is just evidence that we need to clean out both parties.

I think you need to first start with the Rs. The sleaze is much thicker with them.
