Iraq won't be a "client state" of Iran but it WILL be an ally or at least a "friend". Certainly more a friend of Iran than the U.S. ALL the U.S. accomplished was the elimination of a strong Sunni BUFFER state against Iran and the creation of a strong Shiite state that shares the religion and contempt of the U.S. that Iran has long shown. Not only a WASTE of a TRILLION dollars and 40,000 killed and wounded, but also the most egregious blunder ever perpetrated by the U.S. in geo-political strategy.
