Nobody is "free to spend what they earn". If you smoke cigarettes, your wealth is redistributed to non smokers. If you have a cell phone, your wealth is redistributed to those that don't. It you take a toll road.... if you don't have kids your wealth is redistributed to those that do.

There is a big difference between "taxation" and "wealth redistribution".

When the guy who won the presidency comes on TV during the campaign and says, "There is nothing wrong with redistributing the wealth a little", then wins and sets about to do just that, it is wealth redistribution.

The rest of it is just taxes.

We know wealth redistribution when we see it. Apparently, you do not.

RW, I don't consider roads, law enforcement, fire protection, parks and recreation, health regulation, FCC, etc. to be "wealth redistribution."

I don't know why you do, unless you are trying to confuse the difference between basic government services and socialism.
