Bart, guess the SOX and NDX were a little over extended yesterday for they are both down at this time while the Naz is still up. I wondered if they did not come back a little to hard yesterday. SOX was up 10.16% and NDX wa up 6.97%. SOX down 1 and NDX down 10.

U S WEST Finally Out With Phoenix-Area Launch of PairGain-based DSL Internet Access

PAIR is eating WSTL's and ASND's lunch currently. WSTL is a long-term play, marketing trials and rumors won't do much for it.

Bart, DSG, Judy and other(s) interested in WSTL/AMTX.

I follow WSTL/AMTX through the AMTX thread where Pat and others provide good insight into the company. Key items in the stock price appreciation will be deployment by a major Telco of either or both company's products.

GTE has been rumored for the last three months with AMTX/WSTL having a better than 50/50 chance (based upon GTE partners rollouts in Canada, although these rollouts are small and non material from a sales standpoint). GTE has indicated rollout before the end of the year which indicates an announcement this quarter. [I've been expecting an announcement before Thanksgiving but this is only based on a hunch of logistic time to meet a rollout by year end and I didn't want to be worring about September / October and be disappointed]. This is speculative investment (although the company has entered into some nice licensing arrangements) in that the company may not win a deployment contract (time will tell).

WSTL management is not completly trustworthy. I take this from the CEO's "comments" in September about contracts in hand (thats more a marketing ploy, it helped the stock price for the AMTX acquisition) but can backfire when contracts are lost (lets hope there is positive spin on the BC Canada, they are selling modems).

Maybe there are other telco's out there ready to utilize WSTL. We'll have to keep waiting.

The latest on the TXN chip is late November (lets hope for mid December) but this was originally October 9.

Lets hope for the best but if I had November contracts I'd start thinking of an exit strategy in the near future. We can hope for an announcement b/4 the expiration but that is risky. (personally I'm in Jan's and April's and have learned a lesson to pay more for the time premium, my style but no more quick plays with options for me).

Good luck.
